Colour is false advertising.
You don’t believe me?
Take the Mona Lisa:
leave it in the heat,
watch the colours seep out
like scattered sheep,
see the colours try to
withstand the light,
but they can’t –
they can’t coalesce.
Instead the pigments manipulate
each other,
destroy the saturation within
themselves.
Until what’s left
is an ugly damaged Lisa.
